Emilyがギャラリーのために初めて絵を描いたのは2001年のことでした。彼女の絵のテーマはたいてい、彼女の故郷であるAtnwengerrp/Irweltyeに関連する女性の儀式と、そこで使われるボディペイントのデザインに関連しています。彼女のスタイルは、細かいドットを背景にした力強く大胆な直線的な作品が多く、故郷やakarley(ブッシュ・オレンジ)また、故郷のストーリーなどを反映しています。

Emilyは、故Minnie Pwerle(Barbara Weirの母)の実姉にあたります。
